Frequently Asked Questions
About Me
I started as a self-taught silversmith, inspired by my love of geology and rockhounding, which began during my time in Idaho, "the Gem State." Over the years, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to be mentored by talented metalsmiths, learning techniques like lost wax casting and gold smithing. My work combines minerals and metal to create one-of-a-kind pieces that highlight the beauty of nature and the landscapes that inspire me.
Materials
My creations use gold, sterling silver, jewelers brass, and ethically sourced stones from small, sustainable lapidary artists. I've recently been teaming up with the local award winning cabachon artist The Agate Whisperer. to cut and polish some of the raw stones I have collected while exploring.
Care
My pieces are made with high quality materials and methods, they are made to last a lifetime with proper care. Some of the stones used can be fragile so it is advised to take them off before entering water, engaging in intense physical activity or other adventures you might find yourself on. Included in your purchase will be a special polishing cloth to use if your jewelry starts to tarnish over time. Please do not use liquid silver cleaner on pieces with stones as it will damage them.
Returns, Exchanges, & Repairs
Due to the custom and one of a kind nature of my pieces, I am unable to accept returns or exchanges. My pieces are made with high quality materials and are made to last a lifetime, If an item breaks, please reach out to me via instagram @raevenjewelry and I will work with you to determine repairs.
